We coordinated the first Garry Neil Drummond Day of Service in 2016 to commemorate Mr. Drummond’s legacy of giving back and helping others. We started with Glenwood, an organization that was close to his heart, followed by many different projects including beautification and clean-ups of creeks, parks, and schools. One of our most recent projects was the revitalization of Rushing Spring Cemetery in Tarrant. This historic landmark is a culturally significant cemetery which is the final resting place for veterans, including Buffalo Soldiers. Many of these projects have been completed with the assistance of United Way Hands On, the volunteer arm of the United Way of Central Alabama.
